Context/Intent This pattern showcases current environmental problems and create consciousness among people
Problem Lack of knowledge and understanding about how electronic waste is handled do not provoke any change in people and companies on how they dispose electronic tools.
Forces There is less information about hazards related to handling of electronic waste and the poor management of electronic waste in some countries, especially third world countries
Solutions
  • Show information, pictures, videos related to e-waste that displays how management of e-waste is being done.
  • Present patterns to help alleviate the problem of e-waste.
  • Show leaderboard/point reward system for e-waste management.
Consequences People will be more conscious when disposing electronics in the garbage, generate less waste thus reducing pollution.
